Private Flying in the USA
The infrastructure and logistic are the best in the world, the
ATC system is free and its controllers extremely helpful.
Just as importantly, costs are incredibly reasonable. For example, a typical
(and adventurous) UK pilot will find that his/her cost per flying hour based on
a 30 hours aircraft hire over a period of two weeks, including very comfortable
lodging, meals, and transportation to the US will be lower than in his/her local
area at home!
Just to make sure all goes well do start the conversion process about six months
before entering the US which is likely to be about the same time you will be
planning your US vacation.
